Ramdeobaba University, Nagpur (RBU) provides on-campus residential facilities for female students, ensuring a secure, comfortable, and enriching environment.
Accommodation & Allotment
The Girls’ Hostel consists of two buildings near the Ramdeobaba Temple, with a total capacity of 145 students. Rooms are available in
double, triple, four-, and five-seater formats.
Room allotment is based on a transparent policy:
- Priority to students from the farthest locations from Nagpur.
- In case of a tie in distance, allotment is based on academic merit.
- Medical fitness is mandatory for hostel admission.

- Wi-Fi: 5 Mbps internet with dedicated server accessible in all rooms.
- Mess: Hygienic, pure vegetarian meals served.
- Sports & Recreation: Indoor games (carrom, chess), outdoor sports (volleyball, basketball), music room, and a well-equipped gymnasium with a trainer (morning and evening).
- Healthcare: On-premises dispensary managed by Dr. Manisha Rathi (M.D. Gynecology). Free consultations and medicines provided. Emergency care includes hospital transfers with institute tie-ups with 4 nearby hospitals and accidental insurance coverage.
- Other Amenities: Night canteen, vending machines, TV hall, library, water coolers, geysers, washing machines, two-wheeler parking, laundry services, housekeeping, and 24/7 security with CCTV surveillance.
Living Environment
- Separate accommodation for first-year students.
- Round-the-clock caretakers, support staff, and active supervision by wardens.
- Emphasis on a clean, cheerful, and disciplined environment.
- Students usually continue to reside in the hostel throughout their academic years.
Code of Conduct
- Polite behavior and decent dress code required.
- Noise or disruptive behavior may result in disciplinary action.
- Students must vacate rooms within 3 days after summer exams.
- Ragging is strictly prohibited – immediate expulsion for offenders.
- Night outs not permitted after 6:00 PM.
- Parcel deliveries/takeaways allowed only up to 10:00 PM.
- Entry after 9:00 PM requires mobile number entry at the gate register.
- Gate pass for outings with guardians/siblings requires parental permission.
- No interaction with male students near hostel premises.
- Modest attire is mandatory in common areas.

Cancellation / Refund Rules-
A) Following rules will be applicable to the Students, where withdrawal from the hostel is accompanied by the withdrawal from the academic program-
1) Cancellation before the start date of the program-A full refund will be provided, minus a cancellation fees of Rs.10,000/-if a student decides to withdraw from the program prior to its start as per the academic calendar.
2)Cancellation within two months-A deduction of 20% and 40% of the hostel room rent shall be applicable for one and two months respectively, starting from(a)date of admission in the hostel or (b)Date of start of program as per the academic calendar, whichever is prior along with applicable mess charges. For this clause, any partial month will be considered as a full month.
B) Following rules will be applicable to first-year students, where withdrawal from the hostel is without withdrawing from the academic program-
1) Cancellation within Seven Days from the start date of the program-Students who wish to withdraw from the hostel without withdrawing from the academic program and submit their request within 7 days of the start of program as per academic calendar will be required to pay 10% of the total room rent amount and applicable mess charges. The remaining part of the room rent, mess deposit and entire hostel deposit would be refunded.
2) Cancellation after Seven days from the start date of the program-After seven days, no refund will be granted for room rent and out of the mess deposit the remaining amount after deduction of applicable mess charges along with entire hostel deposit would be refundable.
C) Expulsion from College/Hostel
No room rent refund will be provided. However, the remaining mess deposit and full hostel deposit will be refunded.
