Click hereTo know more about events conducted by COMPUSYS under CSI chapter Student Society Installation Report 2018 A Formal Installation was organized by the Computer Science and Engineering Department of Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management Nagpur (RCOEM), on 3rd January, 2019. This ceremony is organized every year, continuing the tradition of Computer Science and Engineering department. The installation is a whole daylong event to encourage the students towards academic and extra-curricular activities and to provide a platform to showcase their technical skills. Chandak (Head, CSE Department), Mr.Akhilesh Halve( DGM -Corporate Communication , Nagpur Metro) ,Mr.ShaileshAwale (Center Head and Director at HCL Technologies), Prof. D. Naidu (Professor in-charge). The event was inaugurated on 3rd January, 2019.Mr. Shailesh Awale, Center Head and Director at HCL Technologies, Nagpur, was the chief guest for the occasion. He discussed about the current requirements of the industry and also guided the students to contribute for fulfilment of those requirements. He also emphasized the application of technology in the industry and various upcoming technologies that have great importance. Dr. R. S. Pande, Principal, RCOEM, delivered his motivating speech in which he inspired the students to do better in academic as well as co-curricular activities. Dr. M. B. Chandak, Head, CSE Department, motivated the students to bridge the gap between industry and academics for better employment opportunities. He also elaborated that students should take part in various competitions such as Hackathon to boost them and to find their strengths and weaknesses. Prof. D. Naidu, Professor in-charge, briefed the gathering about the various societies (ACM and CSI) associated with the branch and their working. She also elaborated on how these student bodies work and conduct events for the students. Also, to grace the occasion we had with us Mr. Akhilesh Halve, DGM (Corporate Communication), Nagpur Metro. He promoted their campaign #Dhavnaar Maazi Metro. We feel extremely obliged to become the very first college of Nagpur participating in the campaign. The events under installation ceremony were technical workshop on Arduino and processing, technical events and fun games. Various events conducted during the ceremony were singing and dancing competition, quiz competition, rounds of Eminence providing a platform to students to showcase their talent. ACM Installation Ceremony Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management started a new Student Chapter of the Association of Computer Machinery (ACM) on 5th October 2018. Dr. U.A. Deshpande, Chair, ACM Professional Chapter Nagpur graced the event as the Chief Guest. The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Dr. S.D. Mohgaonkar, Dean, Second Shift, RCOEM, Dr. M.B. Chandak, Head, Department of CSE and Prof. D. R. Naidu, ACM Student Chapter Head, RCOEM. The hands-on session on “Understanding Digital and Mobile Forensics” was conducted by experts Mr. Tanmay Dixit and Mr. Paresh Chitnis. The participants learnt about various techniques used in digital forensics followed by practical orientation. A total of 46 students participated in the workshop. The event was conducted successfully and received a positive response from the students. The event started with lighting of the lamp by Head of the Department Dr. M.B. Chandak and Prof. D. Naidu. The event witnessed the installation of CSI and Entrepreneurship Development Cell bodies formed by the students of Computer Science & Engineering.The aim of the event was to encourage the students to get inside the technical world and so events like coding competitions, workshops of Robotics and Photoshop were conducted. A quiz competition was also organised by the ED cell. Students were given a chance to showcase their talents and so Dance, music and Debate competitions were also organised. To enhance the personality of students a personality contest ‘Celebutante’ was organised. I.E.T.E. STUDENT FORUM The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineer’s student forum of RCOEM was started on 12 th April 2004. IETE is national Apex body of Engineers dedicated to the general advancement of science and technology in Electronics communication and Information Technology and other allied areas. Session 23-24 Session 21-22 Session 20-21 Webinar on Stress Management A webinar on “Stress management and Pranic Healing” was conducted for undergraduate students and faculty members on 24 October 2020. Ms. Anuja Pandey and Seema Sarda, Pranic Healer and Authorized Instructor, conducted one hour session for undergraduate students during the lockdown to help students to manage stress and increase concertation and confidence by pranic healing and counselling. A total of 27 participants benefited from the webinar.   Webinar on “Soft Skill Development” A webinar on “soft skill development” was organized for Undergraduate students on 18th July 2020. Dr. Pragya Mathur, Psychologist, Trainer, Mental skill coach for sports persons, Founder of Arunima Ankuran delived a session on “soft skill development”. She discussed the importance of social skills, communication skills, character or personality traits, attitudes, career attributes, social intelligence and emotional intelligence quotients and ways to develop them in a personality. Prof. S. V. Laddha, IETE-ISF Incharge had organized this webinar online on Google Meet. More than 79 students of Electronics Engineering, Electronics and communication department were benefited in the webinar. The following events were organized by IETE-ISF RCOEM in the session 2019-20: Report of Installation Ceremony and Workshop on “IOT using ESP12F” Under IETE-ISF December 11, 2019 Installation ceremony of IETE-ISF was held on December 11, 2019 for the session 2019-20, where a new executive committee of ISTE-ISF was declared. Mr. Sandeep Sonaskar, Director, V.S. Informatics Pvt. Ltd., Nagpur was invited as chief guest for this ceremony. Mr. Sandeep Sonaskar delivered hands-on session on “IOT using ESP12F”. National Productivity Competition in which 38 teams from various organisations in India presented their Productivity Improvement Case Studies.On the second day of conference around 80 papers were presented by the various delegates in 7 different technical sessions. She lauded the work of IIIE in this area as the largest professional body promoting the principles and practices of Industrial Engineering. IWWA celebrated this day as World Environment Day along which is celebrated on June 5th every year. The event was marked by the eminent presence of Er. Aashish Deogade sir who is serving as a chief engineer of Gosikhurd Project at Water Resources Department, Nagpur, M.H. Dr. M. S. Kadu sir, Head of the Department, Civil Engineering, RCOEM, on this remarkable occasion of World Environment Day, explained about the importance of environment day and the legacy which has been continued for more than 50 years. INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA 2022 dated 26 june 2022 Department of Civil Engineering under the banner of Civil Engineering Student’s Association (CESA) in association with Indian Water Work Association (IWWA) Nagpur Chapter, Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (ACCE) Nagpur Chapter and Bramhand Ayurveda, organized a yoga session on the occasion of INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY on 26th June 2022. To achieve a peaceful body and mind; physical and mental disciplines is an important part of life. Yoga helps in increasing flexibility, muscle strength and body tone. It improves respiration, energy and vitality. The yoga session is organized to create awareness about the same amongst students. The session commenced with insights on Pranayama mantras by Dr. Tanuja Gohane followed by participants practicing Yogasanas under the supervision of Shri. Sahil Gaikwad of Brhamand Ayurveda. On this occasion, Head of Department; Dr. Mahendra Kadu addressed the gathering. The session was attended and Prof. V. J. Rajurkar (Coordinator, CESA) along with other faculty members. Around 35 students of civil Engineering are participated in the session, making it a success. BAMBOO PLANTATION DRIVE 2022 dated 30 July 2022 Nature is God’s most beautiful creation it felicitates growth, development and nourishment of all its creatures. Department of Civil Engineering under the banner of Civil Engineering Student’s Association (CESA) in association with Indian Water Works Association (IWWA) RCOEM Student Chapter organized “Bamboo Plantation Drive” on Saturday, 30 July 2022 at RCOEM Sports Campus, Dorli. The campaign’s main aim was to direct student’s mind in constructive activities with the positive outcome through the facilitation of contributing to the society and drawing attention towards issues like Global Warming. Cultivation of bamboo is the crucial element in balance of Oxygen and Carbon-dioxide in the atmosphere. The another objective of this drive to create awareness about the potential of bamboo as building material for various structures especially in buildings amongst the civil engineering student. Also to put up facts amongst the budding Civil Engineers regarding properties of bamboo as building material and can be replace with conventional building material for the sustainable development of Country. Around 100 Bamboo samplings were planted at RCOEM Sports Complex. The event was attended by Dr. A. K. Sharma and other staff members of Civil Engineering Department. Around 40 students of CESA team participated in the drive with great enthusiasm and helped each other in planting the saplings. This eco-friendly event was conducted on social media platform (Instagram), and was a huge success. It was an effective event in the domain of Plantation of Bamboo, which is great way to reduce Carbon footprint and will help to fight against Global Warming.
