Eligibility Criteria

Passed with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate* ( 45% in case of candidates of backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra State only) in any Full Time Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities

OR

Appeared** for the final year examination of any Full Time Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities. Such candidates can be considered for provisional admission subject to passing the Degree exam with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate* (45% in case of candidates of backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra State only).

AND

Appeared for MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2012 and appeared for the GD & PI conducted by the Competent Authority of the Maharashtra State for the academic year 2012-13 OR

CAT 2011 (conducted by IIMs) or CMAT 2012 (conducted by AICTE) and appear for GD &PI conducted by the Competent Authority of Maharashtra State for academic year 2012-13.

Appeared for MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2012 / GMAT (conducted by GMAC, USA only for NRI candidates) / CAT 2011 (conducted by IIMs) / JMET (conducted by IITs) / MAT (conducted by AIMA in February 2012) / ATMA (conducted by AIMS) / XAT (conducted by XLRI) / CMAT 2012 (conducted by AICTE) and GD & PI conducted by the Management of the respective institutes for seeking admission to MBA/MMS for the academic year 2012-13.

 

*Aggregate marks means the grand total of marks obtained by the candidate in subjects based on which the class declaration is made in the particular University from which the candidate is passing the qualifying examination.

**Candidates appeared for final year examination fulfilling the remaining eligibility criteria will be offered provisional admission subject to the condition that they will pass the examination with the required percentage of marks on or before 25th September 2012. In case, the candidate fails to produce the results of the final year examination on or before 25th September 2012, then admission offered to such candidate automatically cancelled and the fees (tuition, development and other fees) paid by the candidate of the academic year 2012-13 will be forfeited.

Shri Ramdeobaba Kamla Nehru Engineering College is a Linguistic Minority (Hindi) Institute as per the notification by Government of Maharashtra vide circular no. AES/2008/40/(8)/R.No.359/2008/Seat No. 1, Dated 10th February 2009. As per the guidelines we have applied to DTE, Mumbai, Govt. of Maharashtra, Minority Development Section, Mantralaya, Mumbai, and Pravesh Niyantran Samiti, Mumbai for the year 2011 for following seat distribution:

Documents Required
1.     S.S.C. (Std. X) mark sheet.
2.     H.S.C. (Std. XII) mark sheet.
3.     School leaving certificate after passing H.S.C. (Std. XII).
4.     Certificate of the Indian Nationality of the candidate.
5.   Migration Certificate (if appeared from graduation from other than RTM Nagpur University, Nagpur).
6.     Statement of marks for the Bachelor’s Degree Examination (i.e. the qualifying Degree examination) in case the candidate has passed the bachelor’s degree examination (Candidates who have appeared for final year degree examination have time limit up to 25th September, 2012 to produce the same).
7.     MHT-CET-MBA-2012 Score Card / CAT-2011 Score Card /JMET(conducted by IITs) / ATMA(conducted by AIMS)/ XAT(conducted by XLRI) /MAT(conducted by AIMA in February 2012) /CMAT 2012 (conducted by AICTE) .
For Minority Quota Seats following documents are mandatory (in addition to above):
8. Domicile certificate of candidate indicating that he/she is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra by birth or permanent residence.
9. Affidavit in the prescribed format.
 
Admission Procedure

1. All eligible and desirous candidates are required to fill the Application Request Form (ARF) which will be available on the college website, http://www.rknec.edu/ .

2. Candidates who want to submit their Application Request Form (ARF) by post are advised to make a Demand Draft of required amount (non refundable) in favour of ‘Shri Ramdeobaba Kamla Nehru Engineering College’, payable at Nagpur, from a Nationalized Bank before filling the online Application Request Form. Candidates should fill the ARF, submit and take two printouts. One copy should be kept for the candidates record/reference and the other has to be sent either by speed post or courier, along with the original Demand Draft and attested photo copies of required documents to the following address:

3. All duly filled ARFs should reach the Office of Dean Admissions on or before 5.00 PM on last date of submission in Tentative Schedule (to be displayed).

4. Local Candidates can submit their ARF directly at the college. They can pay cash of required amount (non refundable) at the college cash counter and collect cash receipt. They also have to fill an online ARF and take two print-outs.  One copy has to be kept for the candidates record/reference and the other has to be submitted along with the original cash receipt and attested photo copies of required documents. An acknowledgment of submission has to be taken on the candidate’s copy of ARF for future reference.

5. Incomplete forms in any respect will be rejected and will not be considered for preparation of Provisional College Merit List (PCML).

6. After last date all eligible forms will be scrutinised and Provisional College Merit List (PCML) will be prepared and displayed on College Notice Board as well as on College Website. Students are required to check their merit in PCML. Regarding any discrepancies such as: not appearing of name / correction in marks has to be brought to the notice of Admission Office by filling grivance.

7. After rectifying the valid and upheld objections, if any, Final College Merit List (FCML) will be displayed on College Notice Board as well on College Website.

8. All candidates are required to attend personally the Institute Level / Management Quota Counseling and Spot Admission Round as per FCML to be held, along with Demand Draft of Required Interim Fees, all original documents, Three Passport Size recent coloured Photographs and Three set of attested photocopies of all documents.

9. All admissions will be done strictly on inter-se merit of FCML at the scheduled time and date. If any candidate fails to attend the counseling on the specified date and time his claim will be lost.

10. After getting Provisional Admission Slip candidate has to complete the other admission formalities in the admission section.

11. Candidates are advised to keep themselves abreast with the latest information on admissions by visiting the college website and follow the schedule of admissions strictly.

* These Tuition and Development fees are interim for the academic year 2011-12. The final fee for the academic year 2011-12 is yet to be decided by Shikshan Shulka Samiti, Competent Authority, Government of Maharashtra. In addition to the final fee to be approved by Shikshan Shulka Samiti for the academic year 2011-12, Any increase on that part will be binding on the students, in view of the circular no. SSS/Fee-2011/April/2011/H&T/7124 Dated 21/Apr/2011.
