  • All admissions at Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management, Nagpur are done strictly on the basis of merit and in a transparent manner. College has not authorized any agency or agent for admission of students. In this regard parents and candidates are sincerely advised not to fall a prey to unscrupulous agents or agencies.
  • All admissions will be done as per guidelines of Competent Authority of Govt. of Mah arashtra for the session 2021-22.
  • All the aspiring candidates seeking admissions under any quota (CAP quota / Linguistic Minority quota / Institutional Level quota / NRI / CIWGC(Gulf NRI) / FN / PIO - Overseas Citizens of India quota) must register their name on the official website STATE CET CELL (https://www.mahacet.org/) , get their documents verified & confirmed at Facilitation Center and get an acknowledgement from there itself.
  • All types of candidates, including minorities, aspiring for admission under any quota, it is mandatory to get registered and get documents verified and confirmed at facilitation center.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Maharashtra State Candidates

    1. The Candidate should be an Indian National.
    2. Passed minimum three year duration Bachelor’s Degree awarded by any of the Universities recognized by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent ( at least 45% in case of candidates of backward class categories, Economically weaker section and Persons With Disability Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) or its equivalent;
    3. Obtained non zero score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority (MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2021).
  2. All India Candidature Candidates, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh Migrant Candidature Candidates :

    1. The Candidate should be an Indian National;
    2. Passed minimum Three year duration Bachelor’s Degree awarded by the University recognised by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent (at least 45% in case of candidates of backward class categories, Economically weaker section and Persons With Disability Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) or its equivalent;
    3. Obtained non zero positive score in one of the following examinations; CET conducted by the Competent Authority (MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2020), Common Admission Test conducted by Indian Institute of Management (CAT) or Common Management Aptitude Test Conducted by National Testing Agency (CMAT).
  3. NRI/ OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National :

    1. Passed minimum Three year duration Bachelor’s Degree awarded by the University recognised by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate or its equivalent.
    2. Any other criterion declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.


Remark : Candidates appeared for final year examination fulfilling the remaining eligibility criteria will be offered provisional admission subject to the condition that they will pass the examination with the required percentage of marks on or before the cut-off date of CET. In case, the candidate fails to produce the results of the final year examination on or before the cut-off date, then admission offered to such candidate automatically cancelled and the fees (tuition, development and other fees) paid by the candidate of the academic year 2021-22 will be forfeited.

Distribution of seats

Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management is a Linguistic Minority (Hindi) Institute as per the notification by Government of Maharashtra vide circular no. AES/2008/40/(8)/R.No.359/2008/Seat No. 1, Dated 12th February 2009.
This course is accredited with effect from 2014 for 3 years.

NRI admissions: 5% of sanctioned intake are NRI quota seats which will be within institute quota for approved courses.
FN/PIO/OCI/CIWGC admissions: 15% of sanctioned intake are FN/PIO/OCI/CIWGC seats which are to be filled over and above the sanctioned intake for approved courses.

The Institute level admissions :  For Institute level admission also the registration on STATE CET CELL (https://www.mahacet.org/) website is mandatory. The schedule for institute level admissions will be displayed in due course. These admissions will be done by the institute as per CET norms.

Documents Required

  1. Xerox copy of receipt cum acknowledgement(CAP) from facilitation center.
  2. Xerox copy of CET Merit number letter (CAP).
  3. S.S.C. (Std. X) mark sheet.
  4. H.S.S.C. (Std. XII) mark sheet.
  5. College  leaving certificate after passing the qualifying degree.
  6. Certificate of the Indian Nationality of the candidate.
  7. Migration Certificate (if appeared from graduation from other than RTM Nagpur University, Nagpur)
  8. Statement of marks for the Bachelor’s Degree Examination (i.e. the qualifying Degree examination) in case the candidate has passed the bachelor’s degree examination (Candidates who have appeared for final year degree examination have time limit up to cut-off date to produce the same).
  9. CET mark sheet/ Score Card.
  10. PAN Card, Aadhar Card, Bank Passbook( Linked to aadhar) front page, Any other document required by Competent authority(State CET Cell)
  11. Eligibility certificate of RTM Nagpur University in case the candidate has graduated from other than RTM Nagpur University. And this certificate can be submitted after admission.

Note:
1. The candidate has to submit all required original documents (HARD COPY as well as SOFT COPY) at the time of admission.
2. The candidate should keep 10 sets of attested Xerox copies of all documents.

Cancellation of Admission and Refund of fees, return of documents by Institutions. -

  1. The Candidate shall apply online for cancellation and submit duly signed copy of system generated application for cancellation of admission to the institution. Once the candidate submits online request for cancellation, his/her admission shall be treated as cancelled. The Institute shall consider the online request made by Candidate for cancellation as final irrespective of whether he/she has submitted duly signed copy of system generated application to the Institute. Upon such cancellation, the candidate shall lose the claim on the seat and such seat shall become available for further allotment. The candidate shall then become entitled to and the Institute shall refund the entire fees to the candidate after deduction of Rs.1000/- towards processing charges and return all his/her original documents submitted to the Institute within two days from submission of duly signed copy of system generated application to the Institute;
  2. Notwithstanding clause (a) above, candidate shall not be entitled to any refund of his/her fee except the Security Deposit and Caution Money Deposit if the online cancellation is effected by the candidate after 5.00 pm of the cut-off date prescribed by the Competent Authority;
  3. No institution, who has in its possession or custody, of any document in the form of certificates of degree, diploma or any other award or other document deposited with it by a person for the purpose of seeking admission in such institution, shall refuse to return such degree, certificate award or other document with a view to induce or compel such person to pay any fee or fees in respect of any course or program of study which such person does not intend to pursue or avail any facility in such institution.
  4. The institution shall not entitle to recover the fees for the subsequent years from the student seeking cancellation of his admission at any point of time.

Centralised Admission process (CAP)

The CAP Quota (29% of sanctioned Intake) and Minority quota( 51% of sanctioned intake) will be filled through CAP. The Centralised admission process will be as follows
  1. Notification by State CET Cell ( giving schedule / calendar of events) and publication of Information brochure.
  2. Registration by candidate on CET Cell website.
  3. Document verification and confirmation at facilitation Centre (FC)
  4. Declaration of Merit list by State CET Cell
  5. Option form filling by candidate (For CAP round I)
  6. Admission allotment to candidate
  7. Freeze/Float/slide by candidate
  8. Reporting to Admission reporting centre (ARC) for “Freeze” candidates or Option form filling for float/slide candidates for Next CAP Round
  9. Repeat of step (vi) to (viii) for next round
  10. Reporting to Allotted Institute with the fees and documents.

Institute level Admission Procedure

The institute level admission quota ( 20% of sanctioned Intake) will be admitted through Institute level Admission Process. The Institute level Admission Process will be as follows:
  1. Notification by State CET Cell ( giving schedule / calendar of events) and publication of information brochure
  2. Registration by candidate on CET Cell website.
  3. Document verification and confirmation at facilitation Centre (FC)
  4. Declaration of Merit list by State CET Cell
  5. Declaration of Institute level admission schedule on co lege website/News paper
  6. Filling of Admission request form (ARF) by candidate through college website(www.rknec.edu)
  7. Declaration of provisional merit list by college (based on merit no. provided by State CET Cell)
  8. Grievance redressed, if any
  9. Declaration of final merit list by college
  10. Admission by merit in counselling round as per schedule in the college
  11. Repeat of step (v) to (x) for next round

NRI/FN/PIO/OCI/CIWGC admissions: The NRI admission (5% of sanctioned intake for approved courses ) and FN/PIO/OCI/CIWGC admissions ( 15% of sanctioned intake for approved courses over and above sanctioned Intake) will also be done at Institute level.
  1. Notification by State CET Cell ( giving schedule / calendar of events) and publication of information brochure
  2. Registration by candidate on CET Cell website.
  3. Document submission by candidate and verification and confirmation at facilitation Centre (FC)
  4. Declaration of list of eligible candidates under NRI/FN/PIO/OCI/CIWGC quota by State CET Cell
  5. Declaration of Institute level admission schedule on college website/News paper
  6. Filling of Admission request form (ARF) by candidate through college website(www.rknec.edu)
  7. Declaration of provisional merit list by college (based on merit no. provided by State CET Cell)
  8. Grievance redressed, if any
  9. Declaration of final merit list by college
  10. Admission by merit in counselling round as per schedule in the college
