Admission of Direct Second Year B.E. # (After Diploma) 2019-20


  • All admissions at Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management, Nagpur are done strictly on the basis of merit and in a transparent manner. College has not authorized any agency or agent for admission of students. In this regard parents and candidates are sincerely advised not to fall a prey to unscrupulous agents or agencies.
  • All admissions will be done as per guidelines of Competent Authority of Govt. of Mah arashtra for the session 2019-20.
  • All the aspiring candidates seeking admissions under any quota (CAP quota / Linguistic Minority quota / Institutional Level quota / NRI / CIWGC(Gulf NRI) / FN / PIO - Overseas Citizens of India quota) must register their name on the official website STATE CET CELL ( , get their documents verified & confirmed at Facilitation Center and get an acknowledgement from there itself.
  • All types of candidates, including minorities, aspiring for admission under any quota, it is mandatory to get registered and get documents verified and confirmed at facilitation center.

The Admissions for all the courses for academic year 2019-20 are over as per the norms of the competent authority.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. For Maharashtra State Candidates

    1. The Candidate should be an Indian National.
    2. Passed Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) in appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology from an All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent;
      Passed B.Sc. Degree from a University Grants Commission (UGC) or Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed HSC with Mathematics as a subject.
      Provided that students belonging to this category shall clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year Engineering Program along with second year subjects.
Remark :  Candidates appeared for final year examination fulfilling the remaining eligibility criteria will be offered provisional admission subject to the condition that they will pass the examination with the required percentage of marks on or before the cut-off date of CET. In case, the candidate fails to produce the results of the final year examination on or before the cut-off date, then admission offered to such candidate automatically cancelled and the fees (tuition, development and other fees) paid by the candidate of the academic year 2019-20 will be forfeited.

If the seat remaining vacant it will be filled by Non-GATE candidates by the permission of State CET Cell.

Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management is a Linguistic Minority (Hindi) Institute as per the notification by Government of Maharashtra vide circular no.   4. School leaving certificate after passing Diploma
  5. Certificate of the Indian Nationality of the candidate / School Leaving Certificate having mention of Nationality as Indian.
  6. Migration Certificate (if appeared for HSSC examination from other than Maharashtra State Board)
  7. Eligibility certificate of RTM Nagpur University in case the candidate who have studied their Std. XII from other than Maharastra state. And this certificate can be submitted after admission.
  8. PAN Card, Aadhar Card, Bank Passbook( Linked to aadhar) front page, Any other document required by Competent authority(State CET Cell)
  9. Eligibility for Linguistic Minority Quota seats.
    Candidates having mother tounge 'Hindi' and domicile of Maharashtra State are eligible.
    For Minority Quota Seats following documents are mandatory (in addition to above):
    1. Declaration of the Candidate for the respective Linguistic / Religious Minority Community or Leaving Certificate having information pertaining to Religion / Mother tongue. (शासन निर्णय अल्पसंख्याक विकास विभाग क्र- अविवि-2010/ प्र.क्र.109/10/काया-5 दि .01 जुलै 2013 पहावा)
    2. Domicile Certificate of Candidate.
  10. Eligibility certificate of RTM Nagpur University in case the candidate who have studied their Std. XII from other than Maharastra state Board. And this certificate can be submitted after admission.
  11. Equivalence Certificate from Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai [ » Student » Equivalence (Other Board)] ( excluding Govt Autonomous Institutes in Maharashtra)

1. The candidate has to submit all required original documents (HARD COPY as well as SOFT COPY) at the time of admission.
2. The candidate should keep 10 sets of attested Xerox copies of all documents.

Centralised Admission process (CAP)

The CAP Quota (5% of sanctioned Intake) and Minority quota( 5% of sanctioned intake) will be filled through CAP. The Centralised admission process will be as follows
  1. Notification by State CET Cell ( giving schedule / calendar of events) and publication of Information brochure.
  2. Registration by candidate on CET Cell website.
  3. Document verification and confirmation at facilitation Centre (FC)
  4. Declaration of Merit list by State CET Cell
  5. Option form filling by candidate (For CAP round I)
  6. Admission allotment to candidate
  7. Freeze/Float/slide by candidate
  8. Reporting to Admission reporting centre (ARC) for “Freeze” candidates or Option form filling for float/slide candidates for Next CAP Round
  9. Repeat of step (vi) to (viii) for next round
  10. Reporting to Allotted Institute with the fees and documents.
