Programme Educational Objectives :

At the end of the programme the student will be able:
  • To develop professionals with an ability to apply knowledge of Computer Science and Engineering in identifying, analyzing and formulating problems and designing their solutions.
  • To facilitate use of latest technologies and tools, multidisciplinary research and independent directed reflective learning.
  • To enable graduates in communicating effectively with the stakeholders, demonstrating professional ethics and engaging in lifelong learning for professional advancement.

    • M. TECH. COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING

    This is a full time course offered by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering with a focus to provide the exposure to students on recent developments in computational technologies. The program drives students to take interest in research as well as application development.

    It is a two year course which includes four semesters. To seek admission in this course a candidate need to have B.E./B.Tech. /AMIE in Computer Science, Computer Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or MCA (with more than 60% marks) or GATE in Computer Science.

    About programme

    M. Tech. (Computer Science & Engineering) is a two year full time programme offered by CSE Department. The programme started in year 2010.The intake of MTech course is 24 students.. The curriculum of the programme is revised on regular basis to meet the current industry requirement with the involvement of Industry experts. Workshops, seminars, training courses, lectures, etc. by industry experts are organized on regular basis to impart field knowledge. Programme offers one year internship with Stipend to improve the employability of students for all eligible students under various categories by competent authority.

    Placement

    M. Tech. Computer Science & Engineering students are placed in various reputed industries like Siemens, IBM, TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Infocepts, Persistent, Global Logic, etc. Few of them are working abroad in reputed research centres. Few graduates are also working as Teaching Faculty in Engineering Colleges. Few graduates have also opted for higher studies and pursuing Ph. D. from reputed institutes.

    Webinar on“Prospects in Software Industry Post COVID-19 for M.Tech. Students

    Department of computer science and Engineering, Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management, Nagpur, organized the webinar on “Prospects in Software Industry Post COVID-19 for M.Tech. Students” on Thursday, 4th June 2020. It was organized on the Google Meet online platform. The resource persons for the webinar were Mr. Arvind Kumar, Center Head, Tata Consultancy Services, Nagpur and Dr. P.B. Kulkarni, Dean Admissions, Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management, Nagpur. The objective of the webinar was to make aware about the software industry scenario in Post COVID19 and encourage the students for M.Tech admission. Total 90 participants registered for this webinar from various colleges of central India. In total 21 faculties and 33 students attended the webinar. The Webinar began at 10:00am with the opening remark of the Head of Department, Computer Science & Engineering Dr. M.B.Chandak regarding the M.Tech. intake, eligibility, curriculum, Internships and Placements and all the details about M.Tech. Programme. Dean Academics Dr. A.J. Agrawal also discussed details of the M.Tech Programme. The second session was an expert session delivered by Mr. Arvind Kumar. He delivered on "Challenges and Opportunities in the Software Industry after Covid-19". He discussed recent technologies and changes occurring in the software industry. He shared his experience and current trends in software industry like TCS in this COVID-19 duration.
