Dr. Deepshikha Mehra has a doctoral degree in Environmental Economics which was funded by Indian University, USA (through SHODH: The Institute for Research and Development). She was awarded with two gold medals for standing first in the order of merit in MA (Economics) by RTMNU. Dr. Mehra has seven years of research experience in community forest management and international training in environmental management-specific research methodology from IFRI and SANDEE. She has been a team member of 20 research projects and Co-director of one project. She was awarded a one month research and writing fellowship by School of Natural Resource and Environment, University of Michigan, Ann Arbour, USA. Her research experience has resulted in publication of one book, 9 journal papers, 3 chapters in edited books, 2 articles in international newsletters, 1 working paper and 22 conference paper presentations and participations.
She was instrumental in establishing the environmental club of the College, REEF, in 2012 and has been its Mentor Faculty since then. She has been the Faculty Incharge of the College magazine, newsletter, Technovision Souvenier, from 2012-2016 and information brochure from 2009-2016. Additionally she has handled the role of Spot valuation OIC and many other roles. She is a wildlife photographer where some of the photos clicked by her have been published in international publications and have been in exhibited too in national exhibitions.
